Retreatment

In case of a failed endodontic treatment, for example caused by persistent bacteria or a recolonization of the endodontium, a retreatment is often the only chance to save the tooth. The objectives of an orthograde retreatment are to remove the existing filling material to the extent possible, to access parts of the canal that had not yet been reached and to guarantee a complete re-disinfection of the root canal. The range provided by Komet to this end includes instruments for removing all types of different filling material and a special instrument set for removing fractured files that are stuck inside the root canal.
